The University of Missouri already has one commitment from a Texas quarterback and appears to have offered another one.
InsideMizzou.com confirmed with Cuero signal caller Tyler Arndt Sunday that he indeed has an offer and interest in the Tiger Football program.
"I was surprised by the offer," Arndt explained. "I was happy I got it, Missouri is a great football program."
Arndt got the opportunity to see the Missouri Football team in person last fall when the Tigers traveled to Austin to take on the Longhorns.
"It wasn't their best game," Arndt said. "You can tell they were a better team than they showed that day. I will try to take a trip to Missouri to check things out, I may have to wait and take an official visit there."
Arndt currently has one other offer to go along with the one from Missouri.
"TCU has also offered," Arndt said. "They have a good program also; both teams run the spread offense, that's something I like about both of them."
Will distance play a factor in Arndt's decision?
"It could play a factor," Arndt said. "It all depends on how comfortable I am when I visit the campus. How feel on each campus will make a big impact on where I choose to go."
Arndt threw for over 2,300 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior and over 2,500 yards as a sophomore.
Arndt hasn't made a decision on where he will attend camps at this summer.
"I'm not sure yet," Arndt said. "Missouri and TCU are both recruiting me at quarterback and they both would like for me to attend camps at their schools. We will just have to wait and see."
