Missouri coaches made their way across the state beginning Monday, the visit to Bourbon's school paid off.

"Coach (David) Yost came by the school to talk to our coach, to look at more film on me and to see what I looked like in person," Bourbon said. "I called him Tuesday night and he told me to call him back Wednesday."

It was that call that resulted in what the standout athlete had been waiting for.

"I spoke to Coach Yost for a few minutes and he told me to call Coach (Gary) Pinkel," Bourbon said. "I called him and he offered me a scholarship at the University of Missouri. It's great to get that offer, especially from him."

Missouri has always been on Bourbon's mind, now with the offer in hand, does the standout runner have an early favorite.

"No not really," Bourbon said. "I want to wait and see who else offers and make the best decision possible for me."

Bourbon did admit that he likes the in state school.

"They have a great football program," Bourbon said. "I like the campus and I look forward to getting to know the coaching staff better."
