The University of Missouri continues to extend their recruiting net into the Detroit Michigan area.

One of the latest Motor City athletes to receive an offer from the Tigers is Cass Tech's Safety Daniel Easterly.

InsideMizzou.com caught up with Easterly Tuesday afternoon to get the latest on his recruitment.

"It was great to get the offer from Mizzou," Easterly said. "I was born in Kansas City and lived in the area until I was 10 years old. I grew up knowing about Mizzou Football."

Currently Easterly, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound athlete who runs a 4.49 forty, has offers from Missouri, Toledo, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, Michigan State, and Iowa.

Easterly is known as a head hunter on defense by his coaches and teammates.

"That's what I am on defense," Easterly said. "The coaches love my aggressiveness. I'm a head hunter on defense."

Easterly plans on taking a visit to Columbia in the near future.

"I'm hoping to camp there next month," Easterly said. "Our coach is talking about taking several of us down there for a camp."
