It's summer time and for one Mizzou commitment it's time to relax and enjoy his three month vacation.
Texas High School quarterback James Franklin made his decision in late March to be a Tiger, he is very happy that decision is made.
How committed is Franklin to the University of Missouri?
"100 percent," Franklin told InsideMizzou.com Tuesday. "I'm very happy with my decision, I know I made the right one for me."
Franklin had planned on attending over 10 summer camps but has cut that number down to just four after making his pledge to the
"I'm getting ready to go to Todd Dodge Quarterback Camp this week," Franklin said. "It's close to home."
Franklin is also planning on making a couple of trips up north to Columbia sometime this summer.
"I didn't get to go to any of their camps last week," Franklin said. "I might try to make one camp, we are planning on at least taking a couple of unofficial visits to the campus during summer break."
Franklin is happy that his summer plans have shorten.
"It's made it a lot easier having the decision to go to Mizzou out of the way," Franklin said. "I can focus on other things, getting ready for my senior season."
Franklin makes sure to keep in touch with the Tiger coaching staff.
"I call them at least once a week," Franklin said. "Everything is going great, they always want to know how my family and I are doing. They are a great group of coaches, they truly make me feel at home."
