Early Friday morning freshman quarterback Blaine Dalton was released from the football team due to "a violation of team conduct policies," according to a press release.
This action taken by coach Gary Pinkel stemmed from an arrest at 1:16 am Friday morning by University police. At the corner of Hitt St. and University Ave., Dalton was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive within a single lane and driving an unlicensed vehicle according to the MU police department.
This marks the second time that Blaine Dalton has been arrested since he joined the team a semester early in January.
