Stonewall, LA ATH Curtis Carter 5'10" 171 lbs., 4.37 forty, will take his official visit to Missouri next weekend (12-11-09), and will then conclude his official visits the following weekend with a visit to TCU.
Carter said that he's currently committed to Nebraska. "I'm committed to Nebraska. I've just been doing a lot of thinking, just a lot of heart-searching. The more I think about it, the more it bothers me. I've talked to my family about the whole decision, the distance from home is bothering me a lot. You look at Nebraska, they've kind of switched to run, run, run a lot. I'm a slot receiver. So, that's not very attractive to a receiver, you know, just running the ball. But, as of right now, I'm still committed to Nebraska."
Carter continued. "I'm going to take this trip to Missouri. And, I'm going to probably take a trip to TCU. That's closer to home............ Those are the main three that I'm looking at right now."
Carter talked about how the Nebraska coaches had shown him how they were going to utilize him in their offense. "That's what really kind of urged me to look around............. They just don't, you know, they're having little QB issues. It's just a number of things. I kind of want to go with an offense where I can really be involved in it. You know Missouri, they really throw the ball a lot. If you're a receiver, that's kind of what you want to see............. I'm just going to have to make the best decision for me."
I asked Curtis about his relationship with Tyler Gabbbert. He said that "Me and Tyler are pretty close. We've gotten to know each other, from when we were up there together............. As far as I know, he's (Gabbert) solid on Nebraska."
ShowMeMizzou will continue to follow Curtis Carter's recruitment.
