Nick Demien tells us that his rehab is completely done and he is looking forward to his visit this weekend. "It will be great to be on campus with other commits and recruits'." Demien said.
He also told us that he has been working out and will leave for the US Army game on January 3rd for practice. The game is on Jan 9th and Demien "can't wait" to play on the same squad as Liberty WR Marcus Lucas and spend the week getting to know him.
Olathe North DT Lucas Vincent informed us about the change in his decision to transfer in ad mid-year. "I decided to finish out my senior year and go up there in the summer." said Vincent.
Lucas tells us that he played at 270lbs his senior season, after being around 300lbs over the summer, and played primarily DT after starting out at DE at the beginning of the year. Vincent graded out as the second best defender on the his team, which won the Kansas class 6 state championship. He looks forward to playing DT for the Tigers.
Cornerback commit EJ Gaines team finished second in the Class 5 Missouri state championship game. Gaines was the only player on his team to go both ways on offense and defense as well as special teams. He basically never left the field and was recently rewarded with All State honors.
Gaines told me that he has developed a friendship with fellow corner commit Xavier Smith who he talks to frequently. Gaines will make his official visit on Dec 18th.
DeQueen, AR RB Greg White 6'2" 215 4.6 has been committed to Missouri for about three months, and is looking forward to coming to Missouri in June. He took his official visit with his parents earlier this year. He recently started playing basketball for his high school, where he reports playing multiple positions. "Wherever they need me."
Houston, TX Klein Forest OL Zack Bolton 6'3" 270 lbs., has been committed to Kansas, but with the coaching change, is "looking around" at other schools. He's still considering Kansas, "depending on how things work out" with respect to a new coach, and is looking at Missouri again, and also at Illinois and Nebraska. He wants to visit Missouri at some point, and has talked to Coach Brian Jones about possibly setting up a visit. Given the number of spots left it appears that Bolton's situation regarding Missouri will not be clear until early next year.
Largo, FL ATH Mike Douglas 6'4" 225 4.6 visited has visited Indiana, and appears to be in a similar situation as Bolton. Any possibly visit or future recruitment with Missouri won't become clearer until sometime in January.
Other prospects who have been considering the Tigers and won't have a clearer picture of their recruitment with Missouri include Longview, TX WR Carey Fortson, and the Midwest City duo of DT Doninique Jones and DB Corey Mosely.
