Weekend Visits Already Paying Off

One player commits to Tigers. Updates on others seen on campus for visits

I'll have a full practice report later, but here's some recruiting tidbits from today's practice.

DeSoto, TX RB Marcus Murphy 5'9" 180 has verbally committed to the Tigers while on his visit. More to come on this later.

Sheldon Richardson is home from California on break, and was in attendance for the full practice today.  He stood close by the defensive linemen during all the drills, and he interacted comfortably with players and coaches.

Josh Tatum is still wearing the red jersey of the non-participant, and he spent a good bit of time visiting with Richardson as they watched the various drills.  Tatum told me that he expects to be cleared in timed to participate in the off-season workouts next month.

From my count, ten recruits were in attendance.  Lucas Vincent appeared to have taken on somewhat the role of tour guide, showing Marcus Murphy and Kenronte Walker around.  Another group of recruits which included Jimmy Hunt, Tyler Gabbert, and Curtis Carter kind of hung around together, and seemed to be having a good time.  Hunt's taller than I thought.  He's at least 6'1", and according to his dad, is very excited to be coming to Missouri.  Dad says that qualifying academically, "should not be a problem".

James Franklin was seen visiting with several recruits, including Nick Demien, Anthony Gatti, Murphy, and Henry Josey. At the end of practice, the recruits joined players and coaches in a giant huddle on the far end of the field.  Cheers could be heard, but there was no indication regarding the subject matter from within the huddle.

ShowMeMizzou will follow up on these recruits following their visits.
