The magic number appeared to be 8 for recruits on official visits at the Tigers football practice today. The biggest news being the appearance of Iowa DL/TE prospect Matt Hoch.
We reported on 7 of the players previously, and while the rumor had been going around that Harlan,IA DL/TE Matt Hoch 6'5" 240lbs who is currently committed to Iowa may visit at some point, it appears that he showed up today along with the other recruits.
Hoch, whose big brother Dan is the Tigers starting right tackle, received a warm welcome as players cheered the recruits when they arrived at practice as many recognize him as Dan's little brother.
Hoch stayed to himself for the most part while watching practice.
Liberty WR Marcus Lucas 6'4" 190 seemed very much at home and almost like a member of the team he was so comfortable. He and WR Keeston Terry 6'2" 185 never left each others side. Lucas appeared almost like Terry's host.
Rockhurst CB Dexter McDonald 6'2' 185lbs spent most of his time hanging out with current commits CB EJ Gaines, CB Tristan Holt and S Braylon Webb. It is easy to imagine that group as the Tigers defensive backfield of the future in a few years.
Gaines and McDonald appear to have struck up a solid friendship recently. There was strong talk going around that McDonald is very likely to wind up as a Tiger after this weekend.
Texas WR Bud Sasser 6'3" 200 fron Denton Ryan also appeared to stay mostly to himself while watching practice. Rumor is also strong that Sasser could be a likely commit by the time the weekend is finished.
