The Missouri Tigers hosted three long time football commits this past weekend on their official visits. DE Kony Ealy New Madrid, MO., County Central, LB Jared Parham Coppell,TX., and OT Mitch Morse Austin,TX., St. Michael's were on hand.
ShowMeMizzou.com caught up with Mitch Morse about how his recent visit went to his future college.
"It went very well. It was everything I could have wanted my visit to be and more." Morse said.
"I went up there on Friday and my host was Mark Hill, who is another offensive lineman. Mark is a great guy and a lot like me. We had a great dinner and then me, Jared Parham and Kony Ealy got to meet and hang out with some of the players that night. Jack (Meiners) is another offensive lineman who Mark and I hung out with a lot and we had a lot of fun."
"Then the next day we got to see the basketball game, which was fun, and I got to check out the academic side of things including my major which is Hotel Management."
I asked Mitch what stood out to him the most on the trip. He did not hesitate to think about it.
" How well I was treated. Everyone treated me like I was a teammate already. They make you feel like you belong right away and your not just a visitor. The coaches, the players…all great. I had seen the facilities and know that's great, but the people were the best. Everyone is great… That and the pizza. Columbia has the best pizza I have ever tasted."
Morse plans to be back in Columbia for the spring game and then come up to Columbia at the beginning of June to get settled in.
"I was at last year's spring game and loved it. I committed shortly afterwards. So I am looking forward to coming up for this year's as well."
