He continued to impress at Tiger camp in Columbia and earned an early offer from the Tigers
Just an hour ago Leftwich decided to end the recruiting process early and stay home and become a Missouri Tiger.
"I just committed less then an hour ago" Leftwich said when he spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com I just felt after junior day that Missouri was the right place for me. It is home and has been a dream of mine to play for them for a long time.
I had been thinking about it really hard and then talked it over with my Mom and we realized that there was no point in going to any more junior days or traveling when I knew Missouri was the right place for me, so I called Coach Hill and commited."
Wesley knew that the Tigers had limited spots available for 2011 and waned to secure his spot as a Tiger.
"I had spoken with Coach Hill and realized that they were not going to be taking alot of receivers so I wanted to lock down my spot.I love the offense and I will provide something that they don't have in a real speed receiver. They have mentioned usuing my like they did Maclin and they really appeals to me." After calling Coach Hill and committing, Wesley called his other primary recruiter, 2011 QB commit Corbin Berkstresser.
"I called Corbin right afterwards. We are really good friends and he asks me every other day when am I going to commit to Missouri, so now he can quit. Now it's my turn to recruit players. After I called Corbin I texted Bernard Thomas and Darrian Miller and told them that now we need them to come to Missouri with us."
Leftwich becomes the third known committment for the class of 2011 joining Berkstresser and DL Sheldon Richardson.
