Killian first caught our attention as a freshman with great size and athleticism back then. ShowMeMizzou.com recently spoke with Matt about his recruitment heading into the spring of his junior year.
"Everything is good so far." said Killian. " I have been hearing mostly from Missouri and Wisconsin, but I also hear from Illinois, Kansas St., Northwestern, Indiana and Duke along with a few others."
Matt recently attended Missouri's junior day back on January 30th and has received another invite to Wisconsin's junior day coming up later this month. He spoke highly of the Tigers junior day event.
" It was a good time. The coaches seemed very interested in us as people.I got the chance to see things up there how the facilities and academics work and the basketball game was good."
Killian is familiar with Missouri already because of family members who have and are attending there currently.
"My Aunt went there and my step-brother goes there right now. So I know about Mizzou a bit already. I have been a fan and liked the Tigers for a long time. If I got an offer from them it would be hard to say no."
So is Mizzou an early favorite for Killian?
"I would say they are right now. I know my family wants me to keep my options open until an offer actually comes, but I really like them a lot and could see myself playing there. It would be great."
Killian, who describes his strengths as a player as his" pass blocking and athleticism" is not sure if he will be making the trip to Wisconsin's junior day yet. Right now he is focusing on basketball which he starts for on his varsity team.
"We started off a little rough at the beginning of the year, but he have hit a bit of a winning streak lately."said Killian, who averages 5pgg and 5.4rpg for the Vikings basketball team.
