The Missouri Tigers continue to be on the recruiting trail for talent in the state of Texas. The latest appears to be a brother duo from Arlington.
2011 OL Tony Morales 6'4" 300 Arlington (TX) Sam Houston has confirmed to ShowMeMizzou that he has received a scholarship offer to play football at Missouri. He also reported that Missouri is very interested in his twin brother Alfredo 6'4" 290, but that Missouri coaches Dave Steckel and Josh Henson have told Alfredo that they want to see him during spring practice before they offer him. Alfredo missed most of last season due to a hand injury, and there wasn't enough junior video on him for Missouri to do a thorough evaluation.
Tony Morales currently holds offers from Missouri, Kansas State, and Texas Tech. Kansas State has also offered Alfredo. Tony indicated that he thinks that Missouri will offer his brother after they've had a chance to watch him in the spring. He reported that he and Alfredo would like to attend the same school, and that they both want to play in the Big 12.
They are planning to make an unofficial visit to Missouri "this spring or summer". Tony played left tackle as a sophomore, then moved to guard last season. He said that he feels that he could play anywhere along the offensive line, including playing center.
Tony said, "We think it's a better fit for us to play inside."
As far as his interest in the Tigers, Tony said that Missouri is "one of my favorites".
A pair of the Morales' brothers 2011 teammates from Sam Houston High have already made commitments to attend Big 12 schools. QB Jamal Turner has verbally committed to Nebraska, and WR Kameel Jackson has given a verbal pledge to Oklahoma.
