Iowa athlete talks to about recruitment and Mizzou

ShowMeMizzou recently spoke with 2011 TE Christian French  6'6"  216  4.37  Cedar Rapids (IA) John F. Kennedy, regarding his recruitment.

French reported currently holding offers from Missouri, Iowa, Iowa State, and Wisconsin.  He reports having interest in all four schools, and said that "everybody's equal right now".  Later, he stated that he's "very interested in Missouri", and talked about how the Tigers utilize their TEs as receivers in the passing game.

He has taken unofficial visits to each of these schools, with the exception of Wisconsin.  He talked about his recent visit to Missouri, during which he attended the MU/KU basketball game.

"It went real well," said French. "I got a chance to see the facilities that they have, and I got a chance to meet all the coaches, and talk to some of the players.  I just got an overall feel for the program.  I pretty much got to talk all the coaches, the head coach, and Coach Hill."

Christian said that he met Aldon Smith, Blaine Gabbert, Jeremy Maclin, and Brad Smith.

French plays basketball and is a sprinter on his school's track team.  He reports a 37" vertical leap from testing he underwent about a year ago.  He said that he expects to add weight to his frame, and play in college at around 240-250 pounds.  He also reports that he's a good student, and that his academics are in order to qualify.

Christian French said that he also met Corbin Berkstesser during his recent visit to Missouri, and that the two spoke briefly during his visit.

French intends to return for another visit to Missouri, but at this time has not yet made those plans.
