Taylor visited Missouri last Monday and ShowMeMizzou.com caught up with him on the road at another unofficial visit to see how his Missouri trip went and where his recruitment was at.
" Yes,sir. I visited Missouri last Monday." said Chappell. "Right now I am at Wake Forest visiting there."
Chappell is on a spring tour of his favorite schools at the moment and said that the Tigers visit went very well.
"The Missouri visit went very well. Me and my family went up there on Sunday night and spent Monday looking around campus and checking everything out and meet Coach Henson and Coach Pinkel. The campus was great. It gave me a good feeling."
Taylor told me that the Tiger coaches have told him that he could play either tackle or guard in Missouri's system.
"They said that I could play anywhere along the line except center. I have never played there, so that's ok with me."
After the trip to Missouri, the Chappell family made the drive over to Kansas, another school who has offered Taylor and one he is considering.
"Kansas was nice, too." said Chappell." I talked with the coaches and looked around at everything. Both Missouri and Kansas are good school and I learned that they have a good rivalry going on."
I asked him how his current visit was going at Wake Forest.
"I like it. Wake is a good school with great academics. It is a smaller school. I wanted to come check it out while I am on spring break still. I just received my offer from them"
Taylor told me that he hoped to visit Texas Tech also in the near future, provided that it did not conflict with his track schedule.
" I have some track meets coming up, but I will try and visit Tech soon also."
Chappell competes in the throws and cited personal records of 140 feet in the discus and 44 feet in the shot.
With the tour of schools happening now, can we expect a decision coming soon?
""I hope to make a decision by late spring, early summer at the latest."
