Browning was excited to share the news. "Yes sir!" He said, "I'm going to be a defensive back at Missouri....... They're one of the top teams, in the world basically, and I fit in the program."
When I asked him about other offers, he said that none of that matters and that, "I'm a Missouri Tiger now!"
Browning plays CB for Robert E. Lee in Tyler Texas, where he was selected All-District, and All East Texas in Class 5A for his performance last season, which included 50 tackles and 2 interceptions, 1 of which he returned for a TD. He's also a sprinter and long jumper for his school's track team, where he has posted a 21 foot long jump.
I asked him to describe his style of play. He laughed, and said, "I just play football."
He says that he's interested in studying business at Missouri, or in an allied health field, and is planning to attend Missouri's spring game next month.
Browning maxed out lifts of 225lbs bench, 305lbs squat and 350lbs dead lift at a recent Tyler (TX) Lee weight meet.
