Arkansas OT Talks about Tigers

Arkansas lineman brings us up to date with recruitment and where the Tigers stand

The Missouri Tigers came close to signing an offensive lineman out of Russellville (AR) with the last name of Hall a couple of years ago. They are back on the trail of another one for 2011.

OT Mitch Hall 6'6" 300Lbs class of 2011 is the younger brother of Matt Hall , who signed with Arkansas over Missouri originally, and is now transferred to Ole Miss.

The younger Hall has an offer from the Tigers after camping with them last summer and has narrowed the focus of his recruitment down to Missouri and Mississippi.

"Missouri and Ole Miss are the two that I will likely choose from."said Hall. "They are about the same distance from home and I like that. I don't want to go far away."

Other schools have shown interest, but Hall says he won;t waste anyones time.

"Kansas is about to offer and North Carolina has talked about offering me, but those are the main schools for me."

Hall, who has already visited Ole Miss this year, has a big draw to go there with big brother Matt already in school there.

"Yeah, it will be hard not to go there. We have always talked about it since we were kids about him and I playing together at the same college. I know my Mom would probably prefer us playing at the same school together. I really like Coach Nutt and everything I have seen there. So it will be a tough decision."

When camping at Missouri last summer, Mitch Hall took a liking to the school and especially the Tiger coaches. That has him still considering Missouri along with the Rebels.

"Mizzou is definitely a good school and I liked it when I was up there last year. I definitely like the coaches a lot. Coach Steckel (Hall's recruiting coach) seems like a great guy. They seem to care a lot about the players. I had a letter sent to me that showed how much they cared about me, not just a a player but as a person ,too. That meant a lot to me."

So can the Tigers expect a visit from Hall anytime soon?

"I plan on making it up there sometime in the summer most likely. I think I will camp up there again and will definitely visit. I just don't know when exactly."

Hall says that a final decision will come "later in the year" regarding his final destination.
