Browning Talks Mizzou Visit

Tiger commit from Texas talks about his recent spring game visit

"It was beautiful!" said 2011 Missouri commit, Cortland Browning  6'1"  194  4.48  Tyler (TX), when asked about his impression of Missouri from his Spring Game visit.  "It was like a home away from home.  It's a good place to be."

Browning is a safety prospect who plays receiver and corner for his high school team, and made his initial visit to Missouri this past Saturday, accompanied by his father and brother.  He had previously committed to the Tigers, prior to actually visiting the campus.  He said that nothing has changed regarding his recruitment.

"There's no question about it," said the talented young athlete, when asked if he was still solidly committed to Missouri.

Cortland said that his brother wants to go to school at Missouri, too.  And, he said that his "Daddy liked it, too."

Cortland is a soft-spoken, likable young man who will excel at Missouri.  He mentioned getting acquainted with James Franklin and L'Damian Washington during his visit.  He said that he wanted to meet Wesley Leftwich, but Leftwich was unable to attend on Saturday because of a track meet.

Browning plays both corner and receiver for his high school team, and projects to play safety at Missouri.  He also runs track.

He said that he wants to get back to Missouri for another visit during two-a-days, and that his brother may camp at Missouri this summer.
