Dallas Defender Interested In Tigers

Talented Texas defensive prospect has interest in the Missouri Tigers

The Missouri Tigers showed a lot of speed and athleticism on defense this spring. It appears as though the they are trying to add more on that side of the ball for the 2011 class.

ShowMeMizzou.com recently spoke with (****) 2011 S/LB prospect, Frank Shannon  6'1" 218  4.52  Dallas (TX) Skyline regarding his recruitment.

He told us that he has offers from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Arizona, Minnesota, SMU, and Missouri.

He said that he's interested in Missouri, and would like to visit Missouri sometime soon.

"I don't know too much about them," said Shannon, "except that it's a good school."

"Frank's upside as a defensive player is real high," said Skyline's Coach Bones, when speaking of Frank Shannon.  "He can be a safety, or he can be a linebacker.  He's been transforming his body.  He's going to be big!  You want him to be first off the bus!  He won't have any trouble putting on another 15-20 pounds.  He's a 3.0 student, and an all-around quality kid."

Both Shannon and Coach Bones said that they think Shannon's Skyline teammate, 2011 (****) LB Anthony Wallace  6'2"  235, may also hold a Missouri offer, but he doesn't seem to share the same level of interest in Missouri as does Frank Shannon.

It may be that  Shannon projects as an OLB in college.  It also sounds like he wants to play in the Big 12.
