Earlier this week, ShowMeMizzou caught up with 2011 Missouri commit, DB Cortland Browning 6'1" 194 4.48 Tyler (TX) Lee, and he gave us an update on spring practice and the latest with his recruitment.
"We're having spring practice," said Browning. "That's been going pretty well. I play corner still, but I'll be going in at safety sometime."
Cortland said that he regularly stays in touch with the Missouri staff. He also said that despite his solid commitment to Mizzou, that several other schools continue to attempt to recruit him, including Arkansas, Florida, TCU,Texas A&M and Kansas. He said that TCU has offered him, and that he thinks that Florida may offer him soon.
"I just tell them all that I'm a Missouri Tiger," said Browning, "but they still keep trying to come around."
Browning talked about his plans for the summer. He's planning to take some summer school courses to facilitate his educational advancement, and is entering a speed and performance program at a local training facility. He said that the speed-specific program promises to significantly reduce ones forty time. He said that he's seen this program work for other players. He said that he's been saving up his money to be able to pay for the speed training.
