Dismuke Delays Decision On New Offers

Oklahoma Tiger target talks changes in his recruitment with new offers

In the last couple of days, 2011 OT Dylan Dismuke 6'6" 292 Duncan (OK) has picked up three more offers, from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Mississippi. That brings his total offers up to eleven, including Texas Tech, Arkansas, Baylor, Arizona, Oregon State, Memphis, Kansas, and Missouri.

ShowMeMizzou caught up with the big lineman, and he talked about the impact of the new offers on his recruitment.

"This kind of delays everything," said Dismuke. "Now, I have to consider other schools, so it kind of puts things back to where I was a month or two ago. I'm still pretty open at the moment. I just got these new offers in the last couple of days, and I really haven't had time to think about it."

Dismuke said that these additional offers pretty much puts him back to square one. He explained that OSU had been full, but that a spot had just opened up along the offensive line. Oklahoma offered him after watching him during spring ball. Missouri's Josh Henson has been to Duncan in recent days to watch practice, as well.

Dismuke's clearly considering the home state schools, and re-iterated that he's been a long-time OU fan. He said that he's "got to figure some things out" regarding OU before he'll reconsider them.

It's clear that he'd like to stay closer to home, and said that he considers Kansas and Missouri, along with the in-state schools, to be within the distance from home with which he is comfortable.

He's going to take some time and evaluate his new opportunities.

Dismuke is planning to make a decision before two-a-days begin in August. He said he wants to visit Kansas and Missouri prior to making his decision. He's already been to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State plenty of times, but he might go again.
