Lineman Has Tigers On Top

Lineman with recent offer makes Missouri a high priority on his list of schools

Missouri's been searching high and low for offensive linemen for their 2011 recruiting class. ShowMeMizzou spoke with one who holds a Missouri offer.Carter Wall 6'5 275 5.09 Sugarland (TX) Travis currently holds offers from Houston, SMU, Baylor, Memphis, Arizona State, New Mexico, UNLV, and Kansas, in addition to Missouri. His mother attended Kansas, and her family lives in Lawrence, but he said that they would not effect his decision.

Wall reports a maximum bench press of 335 pounds, and sounds like he might possess a bit of a mean streak.

Wall has already visited Baylor, Houston, and Kansas. He's planning to visit Columbia "sometime in the next month".

He talked about his interest level in Missouri.

"Missouri's probably my number one, realistically," said Carter Wall. "I've grown up wanting to play like Texas, A&M, and Oklahoma. If I was going to play in the Big 12, it might as well be at a school that actually wins.............. Baylor's on the rise, and KU could potentially get better with their new coach. But, I'd rather have an established program, you know, come into one that I know is going to win 10 plus ball games a year."

He said he wasn't sure if Missouri is recruiting him to play guard or tackle. I got the impression that he doesn't really have a preference, just as long as he gets to hit somebody.
