Camper Talks Tiger Interest

Springfield camper discusses his performance and Missouri interest

There were several offensive linemen at Missouri's one day camp in Springfield on Tuesday. On Wednesday, ShowMeMizzou spoke with one who had made a very positive impression.

2011 OT Zach Johnson 6'7" 293 5.35 Norman (OK) reports that Missouri has been recruiting him for "two to three months", but that he has not yet received any offers. Several other schools are also showing interest in the big lineman, including Oklahoma, Tulsa, and North Texas.

Johnson reports a personal best in the bench press of 315 pounds, and has pushed 225 pounds as many as 12 times.

Johnson will likely return to camp at Missouri next week in Columbia, which will allow him an opportunity to work on various aspects of his game, as well as to become more familiar with the Missouri campus and the Missouri coaching staff.

He talked about his experience in Springfield.

"I liked (the camp)," said Johnson. "I liked getting to meet all the coaches, and running around and doing the drills."

Johnson's hopeful of receiving a Missouri offer, and indicated that should he receive one, he'd "probably" go ahead and commit to Missouri. ShowMeMizzou will be keeping an eye on his recruitment.
