With ten verbal commitments for 2011 already on board, Missouri has been very selective in attempting to fill out this class. One player whom Missouri continues to recruit is 2011 S/LB Dominique Petties 6'1" 208 4.47 Duncan (OK). Recently, Petties updated ShowMeMizzou regarding his recruitment.
Petties has been working out over the summer, and feels that he's in pretty good shape heading into his senior season. He's still "wide open" regarding his recruitment, and lists Arizona, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Tulsa, and Missouri among his offers. He says that Oklahoma is "high on his list", but insists that he's still "wide open".
Petties hopes to take all five of his official visits, and identified Arizona, Baylor, Missouri, and Texas Tech as schools he wants to visit. He said that he "is interested in Missouri", and that Missouri is recruiting him as an OLB.
"I plan to (visit Missouri)," stated Petties.
Petties identified the opportunity to get on the field as an important consideration in choosing a school. He hasn't established a time table for making a decision.
"I want to play," said Petties.
Not much has changed in Petties' recruitment status over the summer, but it's clear that he remains a potential target for several Big 12 schools.
