I'm Excited To Be Coming To Missouri"

The Missouri Tiger added another commitment to their 2011 class with a name familar to ShowMeMizzou.com readers.

After camping for the second straight year at Missouri in early June, 2011 OL Connor McGovern 6'4" 275 5.12 Fargo (ND) Shanley spent the rest of his summer attending various other college football camps. He knew that Missouri liked him, and was hoping for the Tigers to offer. Earlier today, Connor spoke with Missouri offensive line coaches, Josh Henson and Bruce Walker, and Head coach, Gary Pinkel.

"Missouri offered me a scholarship today," Said McGovern. "And, I committed. Coach Pinkel told me that I had just made his day. I told him that he had made my day, too."

McGovern, who plays basketball, and has also wrestled, reports a 28" vertical jump, and personal bests of 335 pound bench press, 515 pound squat, and 320 pounds in the power clean. He's also a very good student, and reports an ACT score of 25. He said that Missouri "most likely wants me to play center."

He's already one week in to football practice at Shanley, and is looking forward to playing his senior season knowing where he'll play college football.

"I'm excited to be coming to Missouri," said McGovern.
