Recently, junior offensive lineman Jayson Palmgren 6'2" 305 moved up to the starting left guard spot on the depth chart for the Missouri Tigers. ShowMeMizzou spoke with Palmgren about the promotion, and how he's been doing in camp.

"I got moved down before camp," said Palmgren. "I just needed to work on my technique and everything. (Justin) Britt's a good player. And, I'm glad we had to battle. It really improved me as a football player. It improved my game a lot."

Palmgren said that he and Britt are "real good friends", and that they encourage each other to get better.

"We just say, good job to each other," said Palmgren. "I hope (Britt) does improve his game. Because that just makes the whole team better, and it'll just make me better, because I'll have to up my game even more."

Palmgren said that he can play either guard position if needed.

"I think I've proved to the coaches that I can hit people hard," said Palmgren. "I needed to work on my technique a lot. Like my steps, not false-stepping when I pull. And, I needed to work on keeping my hands inside. They said I improved 100% on that. I just have to keep getting better. And, play hard every play."
