Tigers overcome a sluggish first half to take care of business and beat Illinois

The Missouri Tigers finished out the Arch Rivalry series against Illinois with a 23-13 win over the Illini.

The Tigers came out flat and fell behind 13-3 in the first half, but remaind poised and made the adjustments needed to score 20 unanswered points and come away 1-0 on the 2010 season with the victory.

QB Blaine Gabbert threw for two TDs while WR T.J. Moe had 13 receptions and a TD, and TE Michael Egnew had 10 receptions and a TD.

PK Grant Ressel made up the difference with 2 field goals after missing his first due primarily to a high snap.

Defensively, Aldon Smith had a big day with 10 tackles and 2 sacks.
