Coleman plans Navy visit

Recruiting is now in full swing for the Navy football staff. One player that the Mids coaches are looking at is Milton high school (Alpharetta, GA) defensive back Chase Coleman. GoMids.com recently contacted the future college star.

GoMids.com: How often do you hear from Navy?
Chase Coleman: I hear from Navy pretty often, they send me alot of letters to my house and school about Navy.

GM: What are some of the things you like about Navy?
CC: I like that Navy has a tradition of always winning and I know that it is not too far away from home, which is a plus.

GM: What do you feel makes you a great player?
CC: I feel that I'm always making plays and my coverage makes me a great player. No matter where I am on the field, I will always make a play to help my team be successful.

GM: What position are you being recruited to play at Navy?
CC: Navy is recruiting me as a cornerback and also at the returner spots.

GM: What were some of your stats/awards/recognition from your junior season?
CC: I was named to 1st team all-region by a local newspaper and Honorable Mention All-Region by the Coaches. I was Week 4 and Week 5 Player of the Week. I was selected to the risingseniors.com All-Junior Bowl Game.

GM: Have you visited Navy? If yes, how did it go? If no, are you planning a visit?
CC: I have not visited Navy, but I do plan on visiting sometime during the season to watch a game and visit the facilities.

GM: What are your favorite schools right now? Which have offered you?
CC: My top schools right now are; UCLA, Michigan State, Middle Tennessee State, and Miami. I have visited all these schools so far, which is why they are in my top and as I visit more schools, then I will start making my cuts. I have no offers right now, but hopefully they will be coming in by the end of summer.

NOTE: Coleman also shared that he is now being recruited by Cincinnati, Air Force, and Southern Cal.
