For Chastang it was a relief to get the recruiting process over with.
"It's lot of weight off my back," said Chastang. "Ever since high school started, everybody is kind of thinking about the next level and the whole recruiting process; talking to coaches and sending out emails and stuff."
For Chastang the worst part of the recruiting process was just not knowing what the future held.
"The constant wondering of where you are going to go to school and who is going to offer you; the constant stress of the unknown, said Chastang."
Chastang signed with a group of fellow students who also earned college athletic scholarships including teammate Nate Ozdemir who also will be playing football for the Mids.
Chastang will attend the Naval Academy Prep School prior to enrolling at the Naval Academy.
