The Navy Midshipmen continue their hard work in preparation for the 2013 season. On Sunday the Navy staff released an updated depth chart. While there were no changes in starters there were some changes in backup and third string positions.
Nathaniel Otto (6-2, 260) is now listed as the backup right guard. Otto, a junior from Houston, is also still listed as the third string left guard.
At slot back, sophomore Ed Royds is now listed as a co-third stringer with freshman Toneo Gulley. Royds was a starter at that position last season at the Naval Academy Prep School and in high school ran for 1,181 yards and scored 14 touchdowns.
Defensively, Lonnie Richardson, who last week was listed as a co-backup at right cornerback, is now listed as the backup free safety behind Chris Ferguson.
Navy opens its 2013 season on September 7 at Indiana.
