Starter: Austin Grebe Jr.
Backup: Gavin Jernigan Jr.
Navy kicker Nick Sloan hit 11-of-14 field goals last season. Sloan did a solid job but went from hero to goat when he missed an extra point against Toledo after Geoffrey Whiteside's score gave Navy a 44-38 lead in the second overtime which cost Navy the chance to win. He responded the following week with a clutch game winning field goal against Pitt. Sloan did miss four extra points last year. Hopefully he can become more consistent on extra points. Long snapper Joe Cardona and holder Pablo Beltran are reliable and consistent.

Junior Austin Grebe (6-0, 192) is the backup kicker and kickoff specialist. Last year he had 16 touchbacks on 76 kickoffs. He averaged 61.1 per kickoff. His back up on kickoffs is junior Gavin Jernigan who can also both kick and punt. At Chris Sailer Kicking camp after his junior year Jernigan was awarded the camp's kickoff champion award. He was ranked by Sailer's camp as 26th nationally as a punter. Jernigan (6-3, 203) has a strong leg.
