PIVOT POINTS: NOTRE DAME, HAWAII, SOUTH ALABAMA

-- Later, Navy settles for a field goal inside the USA 5-yard line, establishing a narrow 20-14 lead before halftime.
-- Navy’s offense scores a touchdown on its first drive of the second half, converting a third and 14 in the process. 27-14, Midshipmen.
-- With Navy leading by multiple scores, the focus of the second half becomes the Midshipmen’s defense. Navy shuts out South Alabama in the second half. The highlight is a stop of the Jaguars on third and two and then fourth and two at the Navy 4. USA is denied points on a 20-play drive which bridged the end of the third and the beginning of the fourth quarter.
