"My high school career, in short, was a grind. I was always looking for something to be a part of and find a role model to mimic for success. It wasn't pretty, but it was worthwhile. I never found that person, however, I was part of the building of something to believe in. In the process, I became that person I was looking for for my teammates. I chose Navy because of the opportunity it presented to solidify my future, as well as to be a part of something bigger than myself."
Williams chose Navy over offers from Air Force, Army, Brown, Cornell, Georgetown, Howard, and Jacksonville State.
"Coach Ingram told me that they like me at corner, but will move me around when I get there."
At Cordova High School, Williams was a three-year starter. He started his sophomore season at quarterback, but a broken wrist cut the season short. As a senior he was named first team All-District and first team All-State. He lead the state in tackles at cornerback position and had six interceptions for his high school career. He is the son of Zakiya Williams and Sean Williams Sr., and brother to Simeon Williams. Williams said he has received a direct appointment to the USNA.
