Navy Midshipmen Signing Day Spotlight: Tobe Okafor

National Signing Day is rapidly approaching for the Navy Midshipmen. The Mids usually sign about 50 players. Between now and Signing Day, GoMids.com will take a look at a few of the top Navy commits. Today we'll check out defensive lineman Tobe Okafor.

Tobe Okafor had offers from nine different schools, five of which came from power conferences including California, Oregon State, and WSU.
As seen in his film, Okafor is quick to release off blockers to get into the backfield and harass opposing offenses.   The 6-foot-4 and 270-pound big man from Portland, Oregon is liked by Midshipmen coaches on both sides of the ball  but they primarily see him on the defensive line.
Okafor's ability to close running lanes will make him a constant run stopping threat.  In 2015, he helped pave the way for Central Catholic High School to reach the second round of the playoffs where they fell to their rival Clackamas.
