"I don't have any offers right now," said cornerback/wide receiver Barry Newell.
"I'm getting high interest from Northwestern.
"My favorites are Stanford, Rice, UCLA, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Princeton and Yale.
"Some schools are recruiting me as a cornerback and some are recruiting me as a wide receiver.
"Actually, the Academies are recruitng me as an option quarterback but I don't know if I want to go that route."
Newell, a 5-foot-11, 170-pounder from Dallas (St. Mark's) will be a four-year varsity starter in 2004.
Barry played wide receiver and cornerback his freshman and sophomore seasons and moved to quarterback and defensive back in 2003.
As a junior, Newell had 1,300 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also rushed for 450 yards and 12 touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, he had three interceptions.
