Mids Continue Quest for First Patriot League Win of '05-06 After slipping to 0-4 in Patriot League play with a seven-point loss to arch rival Army on Sunday, Navy will play its final contest of a three-game homestand on Wednesday night against American.  The Mids (7-10/0-4 Patriot League) and Eagles (6-12/2-3 Patriot League) are slated to tip off at 7:30 pm at Alumni Hall. 
The game will be carried live on 1430 WNAV with the Voice of Navy  Athletics, Bob Socci, calling the action.
Navy-American Series
Navy owns a 33-28 series lead versus American despite winning only one of the last 18 games. 
- The Mids are winless against the Eagles over the last 11 contests, including the 10 games in which American has played as a member of the Patriot League. 
- The last time Navy beat American was on Jan. 26, 1991, in Washington, D.C., when John Haase (24) and Eddie Reddick (22) teamed up to score 46 points in a 94-82 Midshipmen win. 
- The last Navy win over the Eagles in Annapolis (96-60) was Jan. 17, 1987, when David Robinson dumped in 31 points, grabbed 12 boards and blocked five shots at Halsey Field House.

- American enters Wednesday's contest against the Midshipmen with a 6-12 record, including a 2-3 mark in conference play ... the Eagles have won two of their last three, though they are coming off a 74-63 loss at Holy Cross over the weekend.
- American has played 11 of its 18 games away from Bender Arena.
- Navy and American played two common nonconference foes this season - Howard and Yale ... both teams earned wins against Howard and both programs dropped decisions to Yale.
- All-Patriot League guard Andre Ingram is pacing the Eagles in scoring and assists ... he is ranked seventh in the league with his 12.3 points per game and is 14th in steals (1.11 spg).
- Freshman Derrick Mercer is one of the top newcomers in the league ... he is averaging a team-best 3.8 assists per game which is the most among all the league's freshman ... meanwhile, he is the third-leading freshman scorer, averaging 6.2 points. 
-Paulius Joneliunas transferred from South Carolina where he averaged 0.8 points and 1.0 rebounds per game ... he became eligible on Dec. 23 (nine games ago) and played his first contest in an American jersey at Maryland on Dec. 23 ... he is averaging 3.3 points and 3.1 rebounds.
