Top North Carolina running back interested in Navy has learned that a running back considered by many to be the top prospect at his position in the state of North Carolina is being recruited by Navy.

Jarrett Meadors, a 5-11, 220 pound, running back star from Purnell Swett High School in Pembroke, N.C. is being heavily recruited by Navy in addition to several Division IA powers.

Meadors, who has rushed for more than 1,700 yards during his career also had 10 catches and punted for a 38 yard average.

The North Carolinian is also an outstanding student who sports a 4.2 GPA. The senior has great leadership ability that is demonstrated by his role as his school's student government President.

Currently Tennessee, South Carolina, Arkansas, North Carolina, William and Mary, East Carolina, Rice, and Wofford are recruiting Jarrett in addition to the Midshipmen. Arkansas has offered.

Meadors, who also has 110 tackles during his career at linebacker, was selected All-District and All-Region as a junior. He is a 3-star prospect and ranked #55 at his position nationally by that recruiting service. Top Stories
