When Henry Coley was in the sixth grade he moved to Virginia from Alabama. He seems to have brought some of that Deep South football talent with him. As a junior in 2009 Coley piled up 93 tackles, 9 sacks and 19 tackles for losses. He also played tight end but says he didn't keep track of his catches. After the season Coley was named to the All-District and All-Regional teams at both linebacker and tight end.
Coley, who prefers to play linebacker, already has offers from Navy, Louisville, Virginia, Temple, and Richmond. In fact, he just picked up his offer from Virginia on Saturday. He was there for the Cavaliers' Junior Day.
Louisville: "I haven't visited yet but I've only heard good things, the atmosphere, the fans, everything . . . I plan on visiting Louisville but I have no set date yet."
Virginia: Coley sounded very excited when he revealed that he had just received an offer from UVA. He wants an official visit as well.
Temple: Coley works out with incoming Temple freshman Byron Parker, "He's say's he's going to be recruiting me for Temple."
Navy: "They offered me but I haven't really talked to them. One of their coaches came down to visit me. They offered me right there."
Coley says what he is looking for in a school is tradition, education and atmosphere. Stay tuned to GoMids.com for more on Henry Coley.
