Hayes set to see Nebraska

The upcoming weekend is going to be a big one for Nebraska. The Huskers are expecting an impressive group of recruits to be in town for the Texas game for a 2:30 CST start on Saturday. One of those players will be on a return visit this weekend after seeing Lincoln this summer. What is he looking for on his second trip?

The Huskers are still looking for a defensive end or two in the 2011 class. Jesse Hayes is a player from Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller who has already seen once before and was impressed.

"It will be my second time," Hayes said. "My first time was during the summer on an unofficial visit. I was really impressed with the coaching staff on my first trip."

"There wasn't a lot going on when I was there so it was just the coaches and the facilities. The players were working out so I got to see that. I was impressed with all of those things."

A summer unofficial visit will be completely different than a trip for one of the most anticipated games on Nebraska's schedule against Texas. Hayes is interested in hanging out with the Nebraska players on this trip.

"I definitely want to see if I can fit inside the environment. I want to hang out with the players. I didn't really get to communicate with any of the players before so that will probably be the main thing."

Some out of state players wonder how out of state players sometime fit in. The Huskers have been trying to recruit the state of Ohio a little more heavily, have commitment Kevin Williams in the 2011 class, and Hayes things that could help for him to feel more comfortable in Lincoln.

"I really just want to be comfortable in the team environment. Obviously Nebraska is not a place that a lot of Ohio kids have gone to in the past, but now they are recruiting the Ohio area somewhat that could help."
