Unreal experience for Bouzos

It's been a long weekend for Nebraska commitment Aaryn Bouzos, but it was all worth it. Bouzos committed to Nebraska on a bit of a leap of faith; sight unseen. So, there were expectations and hopes all of which were exceeded. Bouzos talks about his official visit experience.

La Mirada (Calif.) product, Aaryn Bouzos, is about to get on a plane to head back to California. Before he did though he spoke to Big Red Report about his visit to Nebraska. He started out with his trip to Nebraska.

"I am sitting at the airport right now," Bouzos said. "I got in Saturday morning. I had a game on Friday night so I caught a red eye out and got in about 10:30 in Saturday morning. I didn't do a lot before the game on Saturday except rest, but then we went to the game."

One of the first things that Bouzos really did once he got to Nebraska was experience the tunnel walk. Bouzos said that he couldn't believe that the fans knew all of the recruits by name.

"The tunnel walk was amazing. We were walking out ahead of the team and there were fans that were yelling all of the recruits' names. I couldn't believe that they already knew who all of us were, we're just recruits."

Bouzos was impressed with the game, especially since the Huskers came out winners, but also how they got the win. He saw a dominating performance on defense that he was impressed with and really thinks that he will fit in well with.

"The game was great. The Huskers started out fast and their defense played really aggressively and played a good game. I particularly liked the play of the secondary when they were running with six and seven defensive backs to take away the pass.

"It wasn't just that they had that many players in the secondary, but they are all aggressive and that's what I liked the most. I see myself fitting in at Nebraska in that secondary because I am an aggressive player myself."

There always has to be some expectations and some trepidation by commits that visit a place for the first time after they have committed sight unseen. Bouzos said that Nebraska couldn't have impressed him more and he's been and will continue to be completely committed to Nebraska.

"I did commit to Nebraska without seeing it first, but the visit couldn't have been better. I couldn't even score it between 1-10 because is was so unreal. I liked everything about it."

In our last story with Bouzos you might remember that he suffered a knee injury to start out the season in the first game. As a result he missed games two and three, but has returned to action and is 100% healthy.

"I suffered the knee injury in the first game and just missed the next two games as a result. I am fine now though and have been playing from the fourth game on this season."
