"It ended last Saturday," Klachko said. "We lost in the first round. We are the first SHG team to lose in the first round since 2007. It gets worse though.
"You ready? We got beat by a team that we beat during the season, 63-14. They came back and they beat us. They improved. They changed their defensive front, but we tore them apart up front.
"I mean we killed them up-front, offensively and defensively. We had a lot of yards given up through the air on the long ball. We couldn't shut them down. We would get a pass rush, but they would get it off at the last second."
When you talk to Klachko he just sounds positive. And he's positive now because he knows that he and his team mates to his left and right did everything they could to prolong their high school careers. Now he has his college career to look forward to.
"I am a firm believer in if you do your best, that's all you can do. You should be happy with it. I know that my offensive and defensive line brothers did our best, we played our hearts out, and I hope that they juniors and the sophomores learn something from this and win it next year.
"I loved high school football, I am sad that it's over, but I am onto the next level. I took off last week, I was sad then, but I was back in the gym today. I had to get back in the saddle some time."
Before Klachko begins his college career he will see the school that he's been committed to since April on an official visit. Klachko will be getting in for a full Friday and Saturday in Lincoln.
"I am heading in on late, late Thursday night to be there all day Friday and Saturday then head back home. I think that we are leaving Sunday morning, really early that morning."
This won't be the first time that Klachko will have seen a game in Lincoln. The first time Klachko was in Lincoln was for the spring game and he was sold then on the environment in Lincoln. He doesn't need to be sold again. This time in Lincoln is about having a great time.
"Other than the spring game, this will be my first real game in Lincoln. At the spring game and it was completely sold out. I honestly thought that it was a regular season game by the crowd.
"I am ecstatic to see a game in Lincoln, one, and it's a night game, two, and to see that many people, three, there in the stadium. I am just excited to see the game that night.
"I mean, Nebraska doesn't have to sell me anything anymore. They sold me everything just by showing me what they had to offer. Everything else is just an add-on. I know that I am in for a great weekend."
