Things changing for Mitchel?

Tevin Mitchel has been a member of the 2010-2011 recruiting class for Nebraska since June 1, 2010. The standout cornerback from Mansfield (Texas) Legacy has gone on to earn an U.S. Army All-American game invitation and was really considered a cornerstone for the Nebraska recruiting class. Now there are rumors he will visit Arkansas. What is going on with Mitchel?

A key get for the Nebraska Cornhusker staff for the 2010-2011 class has been cornerback Tevin Mitchel. Mitchel, a 6-foot-0 and 175-pound cornerback from Mansfield (Texas) Legacy, committed to Nebraska back on June 1.

Last night though rumors started to surface that Mitchel was at least considering taking a visit to Arkansas in December. This morning through a series of text messages Mitchel confirmed that he will take a visit and why.

"Yes it's true," Mitchel wrote. "I have some family problems. I have some family members that are sick. I just want to be able to check up on them. Nothing against Nebraska or anything."

Mitchel didn't clarify whether or not he considered himself a Nebraska commitment still or was completely decommitted. He also didn't specify whether or not he had spoken with the Nebraska coaches about this scheduled visit to Arkansas either.
