"We made the playoffs this season," Lucien said. "I have probably 55 catches, 1,150 yards or so and 15 touchdowns. I think that those numbers are about right."
"I wanted to go out there and play my heart out on every play. I didn't really have a set goal how I could measure the season. I just wanted to go out and play hard."
To this point Lucien has only taken one official visit, but he is looking at four more schools for possible visits. "I have taken one official visit to Arizona State. I am going to on an official to Colorado most likely and probably Michigan and Michigan State. I will probably also visit Nebraska."
Lucien says that he wants a team to be a family when it comes to picking out a school. He would also like to find a place where he likes the coaching staff and of course has good academics.
"I am looking for a team that is family oriented, has good academics and I really want to get along with the coaching staff. Another thing that is big to me is a team that is like brothers and not like a bunch of individuals."
Lucien is a California kid and none of the schools he's mentioning are in California, but some are closer than others to home. Still he believes that you need to leave home in order to continue to grow as a person.
"No not at all. I think that part of growing up and becoming a man is moving away from your family and becoming more responsible. If going off to college is going to help me take on these types of things it's all for the better in the long run."
The interest from Nebraska has been pretty heavy as of late. There isn't an offer on the table from Nebraska yet, but its Lucien's thoughts that if he does visit Lincoln that he should go home with one. That is what he hopes will happen anyway.
"The Nebraska interest is pretty constant. They haven't offered me, but they keep talking to me about wanting to bring me in for an official visit. They usually offer a player when they are on the visit. I think that the outcome will end up with an offer and I hope so; I really like Nebraska.
"I saw a little documentary on Nebraska before they played Washington this season. In the documentary they talked about how the team was together a day before the game, has a little team rally and that's one thing that I like about them.
"I also really like my recruiter from Nebraska, Coach Marvin Sanders. He seems like a really great guy. Nebraska also has a lot of tradition. I haven't been able to get out there yet, but I want to."
Lucien doesn't think of himself as just a speed guy, a fade guy or a hands guy. Instead he sees himself as the complete package. He considers himself a complete wide receiver.
"I think that if I were to go to Nebraska that I would be able to stretch the field for them. I catch anything that is in my bubble and even balls that are outside of my bubble I can come down with. They will get an all-around receiver. Not just a fast guy. I can make plays with the ball."
