Peat set to see Lincoln?

It's worked out for Nebraska in the past when it came to getting a younger brother to follow an older brother that was already in Lincoln. The last was Aaron Green that chose to follow brother Andrew. Now the Huskers are setting their sights on Andrus Peat who is the younger brother of Todd Peat who signed with Nebraska in February. Will he be in town for the spring game?

The spring game in Nebraska is electric. The Husker faithful has sold out the spring game the past few years and this year will be no exception. That's why it's key for Nebraska to bring in some of their top recruits to see the Red-White game.

One of the players that was rumored to be heading to Lincoln for the game on April 15th was offensive lineman Andrus Peat from Tempe (Ariz.) Corona Del Sol. Andru, the younger brother of Nebraska signee Todd Peat, has had a recent change in his schedule.

"He was," Todd Peat said. "He's not going to be able to make it now. He's actually going to Florida State that weekend now. He's never been to Nebraska, but he will be to a couple of games this fall and definitely on an official visit."

This news is disheartening to Nebraska fans, but the reason why Andrus is skipping the spring game is actually good news in disguise. The fact is Andrus will be to see Nebraska more than once over the next 6-9 months.

"It's easier for him to get out now and see a school that he might not see this fall. Nebraska is a school that he's going to see anyway and he will be there at least a couple of times this fall. He'll definitely be there on campus a few times."

Todd Peat is getting ready to head to Lincoln and says that he has been keeping busy in the weight room. "We start June 6th so I will probably leave for Lincoln a couple of days before that. I have been working out and lifting. I am up to about 295 pounds right now."
