Fort Scott duo visit Nebraska

There has been a very good relationship between Nebraska and Fort Scott since Bo Pelini came to Lincoln. The Husker staff have dipped into Fort Scott four times over the past three years to grab players from both sides of the football. Jeff Sims, head coach at Fort Scott, confirmed that the Huskers are again in the hunt for two of his players and both are visiting today.

The evaluation period is ongoing and the Nebraska staff are hosting a pair of players from Fort Scott (Kans.) C.C. today through Saturday. Head Coach Jeff Sims said that cornerback Joe Williams and tight end Terrell Mitchell were both in Lincoln.

"Yes, both of those guys are in Lincoln today through Saturday," Sims said. "Joe is a cornerback and Terrell is a tight end that transferred here from Georgia Military College."

Coach Sims said that Williams would have three years for three years and that presumably Mitchell would have four years to complete four years, but that would come with a caveat.

"We are 15 practices in to our spring with five to go and about two weeks ago on just a normal passing route Terrell tore his ACL. So, he is considering transferring to Nebraska now and would be spend next year rehabbing the knee."

Big Red Report will wait until Saturday to reach both Williams and Mitchell. We will also be bringing you freshman film from Williams later today after our coverage of the latest Nebraska commitment form earlier this morning.
