Stafford good to go?

Nebraska is already looking at a couple of possible issues with the 2011 class and recruits that won't qualify. What the Nebraska staff can't afford is when a junior college player doesn't make it mainly because they are being looked at to play immediately in most cases. A recent rumor about Daimion Stafford said that he might not make it. He speaks to that rumor.

Last night, Big Red Report caught up with Rancho Cucamunga (Calif.) Chaffey JC defensive end Joe Carter about Daimion Stafford. Carter, Stafford's team mate, also signed with Nebraska and will be in Lincoln in June.

"He's good," Carter said. "He's on point with his grades. He's good to go."

Carter said that Stafford would be joining him in Lincoln in June. However, it was still important to catch up with Stafford himself to find out what he had to say about his own situation.

"I will be in Lincoln next month," Stafford said. "I am not sure of the exact date, but I am still in classes for the rest of the month of May."

Stafford went on to say that he is taking all of the classes that he needs to enroll at Nebraska and that he graduates from Chaffey on May 25th.

Both Stafford and Carter should be considered players in the 2011 recruiting class for Nebraska that could immediately contribute on the field for the 2011-2012 season.
