It's been a quiet spring for Austin Bowie defensive end Will Hopkins, but that all changed on Saturday, when the soon to be senior picked up his third offer.
"I wanted to let you know Wyoming offered," said Hopkins. "I was a little surprised, because I have been talking to them during the spring, and I was just trying to get up there for a camp.
"When we talking today about whether I was going to be able to camp up there, they asked if anyone had offered me this spring. I told them no and they said they would like to be the first."
Wyoming joins SMU and Texas State as teams to extend an offer. His summer will be busy with camps and stops at places like TCU, Baylor, Tulsa, Air Force, Wyoming, Colorado State, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Stanford, and his father's school Kansas.
"Kansas asked him to come to a specific camp, bring his mom, and stay for an extra day," said Bill Hopkins, Will's father. "We thought that was a good sign, we are gong to see what pans out there.
"Will got the grades and scores to go anywhere he wants as far academics also, so obviously he's getting a lot of interest from high end academic schools."
The 2012 recruit is currently a 3-star prospect and rated No. 75 in the country.
