"I just got done a few hours ago," Schany said. "I thought that it went good, no offer, but I really wasn't expecting one this week."
Schany said that he thought he could have done better on his 40 with some preparation, but considering he was just coming back from vacation he was happy. He thought that he did well in the agility drill.
"I did the 40 and the agility drill. I ran a 4.9 which wasn't great, but I was just getting back from vacation and wasn't really prepared.
"I thought that I did a lot better on the agility drill and so did the Nebraska staff. I ran a 4.4 and I was told that players at Nebraska are in the 4.2-area."
The new linebacker coach was able to get some good time with Schany since it was a kicking camp and worked him out. Schany got some good feedback after that session.
"Coach Ross Els put me through some linebacker drills after that. He told me what he thought I did well and gave me some things to work on."
Schany spent a lot of time talking with the Nebraska staff talking to the head coach, defensive coordinator, recruiting coach and position coach. They let him know what the situation is with a possible offer.
