Decision Before Fall?

Roger Lewis has told Scout.com he would like to possibly make a decision before the start of the season.

Pickerington Central (OH) wide receiver Roger Lewis understands the recruiting process. He understands how promotion from recruiting sites can help him attract more offers. It's why he sends out a mass text to reporters when he gets new interest, honors, or scholarships.

On Saturday: "Roger Lewis gets wide receiver MVP at the Ohio State football camp."

On Monday: "Roger Lewis adds 13th today, with the University of Akron."

On Tuesday: "Roger Lewis adds 14th offer by West Virginia."

On Tuesday night, BRR talked with the soon to be senior about where Nebraska stands in his recruitment. It was just two months ago when Coach Els stopped by to watch Lewis workout during the spring.

"I haven't really been talking to them. They send me letters and stuff showing interest, but I haven't really been talking to them as much," said Lewis. "I'm thinking about making my decision now before the season starts. It will cut down on the pressure."

With the commitment of Jordan Westerkamp, Nebraska is projected to take one possibly two more wide receivers in the class.

With Lewis, Nebraska told him they liked his junior highlight tape – but to keep working. Meaning – we want to see more of him. It now appears they won't get the chance if he decides before the start of the season.
