It was May when BRR told fans about Davie needing 1/2 credit by NCAA standards to get into Nebraska. At the time, Coach Cotton was assisting the high school graduate find a class.
Davie found one and after a long couple of weeks, his extra work this summer has paid off.
"I finished the class today," said Davie, who received a passing score. "I talked to Cotton and he just was happy. He said he would let me know all the stuff Monday morning as far as moving to Lincoln. I"m just so happy right now."
Rated a 3-star prospect by Scout.com, Davie caught a touchdown in last month's 53rd Nebraska Shrine Game.
"I sort of went into it thinking it would be an extra game I got to play in my high school career," said Davie. "I felt like now that since I'm coming in to Nebraska a little bit later, I'm probably going to red-shirt this upcoming season. So, I took it as an extra game, catching the touchdown felt great."
We will let fans know on the boards Monday when he plans to arrive to Lincoln.
